| 内容記述 | The life of the infamous Roman emperor Elagabalus is a very unusual theme for a movie. However, a close look at the cultural context and the business environment of the La vie de l'empereur romain Heliogabale est un sujet hautement inhabituel dans l'histoire mondiale du cinema, et, a premiere vue, il peut paraitre surprenant que le realisateur francais Louis Feuillade l'ait choisie comme theme d'un court metrage en 1911. Toutefois, un examen de l'industrie du cinema en France a cette epoque et l'etude des debats esthetiques qui accompagnaient le septieme art, au carrefour du theatre et de la peinture, montrent que ce film est en fait representatif de son epoque. L'article dresse un panorama des conditions de production et du climat intellectuel dans lequel ce petit film a ete realise. On essaie aussi de montrer comment l'art du dix-neuvieme siecle influence encore le cinema maintenant par le biais des realisations des annees 1910-1920. | |||||
